VANCOUVER, BC (September 22, 2026) – The Vancouver Goldeneyes announced today that Alison Izzi has been named General Manager, bringing a wide-ranging background in professional hockey spanning the National Hockey League (NHL) and American Hockey League (AHL).
Izzi succeeds Cara Gardner Morey, who was named Head Coach in July after serving as the team’s General Manager during its inaugural season.
“Alison brings a vast array of knowledge and experience to the Goldeneyes, making her an ideal fit to lead the team,” said Jayna Hefford, PWHL Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations. “She has spent her career working across so many areas that are central to running a professional hockey team — from player contracts to hockey operations, governance, and player safety. She understands how all those pieces connect, and that perspective will be incredibly valuable in her role as General Manager.”
Izzi is an attorney and hockey executive from Rhode Island with more than eight years of experience in professional hockey, including most recently clerking for the NHL Legal Department, focusing on hockey operations and player safety matters. Prior to that, she served as the Vice President of Hockey Operations/Governance at the AHL.

A graduate of the Western New England University School of Law and Springfield College, Izzi’s experience has centered heavily on player contracting, collective bargaining and league administration and operations, serving on both the AHL’s Legal Committee and Collective Bargaining Committee. She began her career with the AHL's Providence Bruins in ticketing and events.
