We recently caught up with star forward Laura Stacey of the Montréal Victoire over email to learn about how she's spent her offseason. Here's what we found out.

Where have you spent most of your summer?

Spent most of my summer in Montréal, training.

Did you go on vacation at all?

Right after the season we went for a little getaway in Mexico to relax and spend time on the beach. It was a great reset and my favourite part was definitely waking up for the sunrise on the beach.

Did you see any concerts?

I have not been to any concerts this summer. But I got to enjoy a lot of music and three amazing weddings.

Did you read any good books?

I have read one book this summer and it was “It Ends with Us.”

Did you watch any good shows or movies?

Recently went to the movies (love going to the movie theatre) and watched “Freakier Friday.”

What’s your song of the summer?

Sally (when the wine runs out)

Where was your best meal of the summer?

Garde Manger in Montréal.

How many days of the week have you been on the ice?

Started off skating 3X a week but now I am currently at 4X per week.

If you could be guaranteed to improve one element of your game this offseason, what would it be?

If I could be guaranteed to improve one element of my game this offseason I hope it would be puck protection, passing and goal scoring.

The best thing about the 2025-26 Victoire is going to be...

Our GRIT and PASSION!
