VANCOUVER (September 29, 2026) – The Vancouver Goldeneyes today announced that defender Caroline “KK” Harvey has been signed to a three-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement through the 2028-29 season. The 2026 Olympic gold medalist and Tournament MVP was selected first overall by the Goldeneyes in the 2026 PWHL Draft and is the second of Vancouver’s five picks to be signed, bringing the Goldeneyes roster up to 19 players under contract for the 2026-27 season.
"KK is an incredibly accomplished defender whose achievements speak for themselves, and we are excited for her to bring her trademark speed and dynamic playing style to our roster," said Alison Izzi, Vancouver Goldeneyes General Manager. "We are looking forward to supporting her continued development as an elite player and can't wait to see her start her PWHL career in Goldeneyes colours."
Harvey recorded 64 points (18G, 46G) in 33 games at the University of Wisconsin as a senior in 2025-26, winning a National Championship along with the prestigious Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, both WCHA Player of the Year and Defender of the Year honours, and was a First Team All-American. The 23-year-old from Salem, NH, was a standout across her four years with the Badgers, named WCHA Defender of the Year and All-WCHA First Team twice and an NCAA All-Tournament Team member four times. She registered 201 career points (54G, 147A) in 147 games and was instrumental in the Badgers’ run to three national titles during her time in Madison.
On the international stage, Harvey has represented the United States at the last two Olympic Winter Games, earning a silver medal in Beijing 2022 prior to her gold in Milan. This past February, she was named Best Defender and a Tournament All-Star in addition to MVP, leading the tournament in assists (7) and points (9, tied with Megan Keller). Among her many international accolades are five World Championship medals (2 gold, 3 silver) and two nods as the tournament’s Best Defender (2023, 2025).
"I am super excited to sign with Vancouver for the next three years,” said Harvey. “When I first visited the city after I was drafted, I could feel the excitement for the team and how much they love hockey. I can’t wait to get to work with my teammates, and to play in front of the Goldeneyes fans!”
Harvey joins a Goldeneyes roster that includes defenders Ashton Bell, Sophie Jaques and Dominika Lásková. The team has also signed forwards Abby Boreen, Katie Chan, Izzy Daniel, Laura Fuoco, Jenn Gardiner, Mannon McMahon, Hannah Miller, Sarah Nurse, Gabby Rosenthal, Madison Samoskevich, Anna Segedi and Tereza Vanišová, plus goaltenders Kristen Campbell, Emerance Maschmeyer, and fellow 2026 draftee Katie DeSa.
