Summer Tales: Mariah Keopple

We recently caught up with PWHL Seattle Defender Mariah Keopple over email to learn about how she's spent her offseason. Here's what we found out.

Where have you spent most of your summer?

Wisconsin!

Did you go on vacation at all?

I did travel a bunch at the beginning of the summer: Vancouver, BC; Whitehorse, Yukon; Denver; New York City!! Been traveling and seeing to many amazing things, but I think Whitehorse was my favorite because it was such a cool experience! I have never seen anything like it and it was amazing!

Did you see any concerts?

I saw the Lumineers in Denver! The stadium was amazing with an open top and the fans were electric. All around a great time!

Did you read any good books?

My favorite book I read this summer was "Atomic Habits!" I’ve been meaning to reread this book for a long time and finally got around to it ! I recommend a lot if you are into those books!

Did you watch any good shows or movies?

I just finished "My Life with the Walter Boys." Such a cute little show! My favorite show this summer has been "Untamed"—I love criminal/police shows so this was a good one for anyone who loves those types of shows!

What’s your song of the summer?

My song of the summer is "Yukon!"

What and where was the best meal you ate?

The best meal I ate this summer was my dad’s homemade hibachi! He is an incredible cook and his hibachi is top tier! Some of my teammates last year came over & he made it for them—they're still talking about it to this day !

How many days of the week have you been on the ice?

I have been on the ice 3-4 times a week!!

If you could be guaranteed to improve one element of your game this offseason, what would it be?

My one timer!
