OTTAWA, ON (October 7, 2026) – The Ottawa Charge have announced their training camp roster in preparation for the 2026-27 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season with 28 players who will hit the ice at Canadian Tire Centre. The Charge camp will open on Wednesday, Nov. 18, following the completion of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship taking place in Denmark from Nov. 6-16.
“Our players are excited about moving into Canadian Tire Centre and having a locker room of their own in an NHL building with top end facilities,” said Mike Hirshfeld, Charge General Manager. “We’re excited by our returning players and the new generation coming in to take up the mantle following expansion. This is going to be a competitive camp, and we are curious to see how the battles will play out at all three positions.”
The camp roster consists of 15 forwards, nine defenders, and four goaltenders, and includes 19 players who are already signed for the upcoming season and 17 who were members of the Charge during the 2025-26 season.
As part of training camp, the Charge will play two preseason scrimmages on Monday, Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m. ET against PWHL Detroit at Morgan Firestone Arena and Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. ET against the Toronto Sceptres at Mattamy Athletic Centre.
The Charge will open the 2026-27 regular season at home against the Sceptres on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. ET.
