Summer Tales: Dominique Petrie

We recently caught up with Minnesota Frost forward Dominique Petrie over email to learn about how she's spent her offseason. Here's what we found out.

Where have you spent most of your summer?

I have spent most of summer back home in Hermosa Beach, CA with my family and friends!

Did you go on vacation at all?

I went out to Salt Lake City a few times to visit my brother who lives there! In SLC I also got to work the Utah Mammoth’s first ever all-girls camp, run my first camp, and coach a summer select team in a Park City tournament! (Fun fact my brother and I actually coached our first eve game together versus [Frost Assistant] Critter Johnson's team who was coaching one of his daughters! Yes, we did in fact beat his team!!)

I also will be going back to SLC to visit my brother again and then also to Austin, TX to visit some friends next month!

Did you see any concerts? What was your favorite if yes?

I have not gone to any concerts this summer but I am going to see BUNT next month and I am super excited for that!

Did you watch any good shows or movies?

I’ve been watching "BOSCH" and "BOSCH: LEGACY" Legacy (Amazon Prime) with my parents and we all love it! When I was with my brother we watched "Love Island USA." And solo I have been watching "Sullivan’s Crossing" on Netflix!

Did you read any books? What was your favorite if yes?

I have been reading "If He Had Been With Me" on my beach days!

What’s your song of the summer?

It’s too tough to pick just one song. I have all of the following on repeat all summer: "Jungle" by Fred again, "Eden" by Jervis Campbell, "No Bad Vibes" by Jazzy, "No Broke Boys" by Disco Lines, "I like u" by Tove Lo, Forever by ZULAN, "Sweet Disposition" John Summit Remix AND Lost Frequencies Remix and "Motorcycle Drive By" by Zach Bryan

How many days of the week have you been on the ice?

I started at 2x/ week. Recently, I’ve been on the ice 3x/week and will up it to 4x next month!

If you could be guaranteed to improve one element of your game this offseason, what would it be?

My poise, deception, and creativity with the puck.
