We recently caught up with Minnesota Frost forward Britta Curl-Salemme over email to learn about how she's spent her offseason. Here's what we found out.

Where have you spent most of your summer?

I went home to Bismarck, ND for a short while to run my first hockey camp but have spent most of my summer here in St Paul!

Did you go on vacation at all?

I went on a family vacation to the Black Hills in South Dakota. We spent a few days mountain biking, playing games and hanging around the fire! I also chaperoned a high school mission trip to Kansas City and had an amazing time visiting and serving with different religious communities.

Did you see any concerts?

I went to Gregory Alan Isakov and can’t wait for Noah Cyrus coming up in a few weeks.

Did you read any books?

"The Story of a Soul" by St Therese of Lisieux.

Did you watch any good shows or movies?

"Deadwood" on HBO.

What’s your song of the summer?

"These Days" by Jackson Browne.

What and where was the best meal you ate?

Every time my husband makes steak and mashed potatoes at home!

How many days of the week have you been on the ice?

Recently, I’ve been up to 4-5 days a week on the ice to prepare for national team camps.

If you could be guaranteed to improve one element of your game this offseason, what would it be?

Using my body to win small area battles and possession.

The best thing about the 2025-26 Minnesota Frost team is going to be...

Our blend of gritty hard-nosed hockey on the ice and fun personalities off of it.
