LAS VEGAS, NV (June 20, 2026) – PWHL Las Vegas today announced that forward Jada Habisch has been signed to a one-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026-27 season. Habisch becomes the team’s ninth player and first to be added during the league’s Open Signing Period that began on Friday.

Habisch spent her rookie season with the Seattle Torrent, who selected her in the fourth round (31st overall) of the 2025 PWHL Draft. Habisch was activated from the team’s Reserve Player list in March and appeared in 11 regular-season games, scoring her first professional goal against the Ottawa Charge on April 8. The 23-year-old from Buffalo, MN, played five seasons collegiately at the University of Connecticut where she led the Huskies in goals in each of her final three seasons, and as captain in 2024-25, scored a career-high 16 goals and added six assists for 22 points, earning Hockey East Third Team All-Star accolades. She finished her collegiate career with 64 goals, which ranks third all-time in program history, while her 99 career points rank sixth all-time.

On PWHL Las Vegas, Habisch joins fellow forwards Katy Knoll, Maureen Murphy, and Hayley Scamurra; defenders Erin Ambrose, Mae Batherson, Kendall Cooper, and former Torrent teammate Megan Carter, plus goaltender Nicole Hensley.

The team also selected eight players in the 2026 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck, adding six forwards, one defender and one goaltender to the organization’s roster on Wednesday.
