HAMILTON, ON (June 6, 2026) – PWHL Hamilton today announced that forward Alina Müller has been signed to a three-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026-27 season. Müller, who was under contract with the Boston Fleet, joins PWHL Hamilton on a new deal through the 2028-29 campaign and becomes the third of five players to be added during Phase 2 of the PWHL’s Expansion Roster Distribution Process.

Müller joined Boston as the third overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft, becoming the league’s first-ever international player to be selected and is the Fleet’s all-time leading scorer — and highest scoring international player in league history. The Winterthur, Switzerland, native was named a finalist for the 2024 PWHL Rookie of the Year award and went on to record her most productive offensive season in her third campaign (2025-26), with 21 points (4G, 17A) in 30 games. In 80 career regular-season games, Müller is tied for the most assists in PWHL history with 40 and sits tied for 10th all-time in scoring with 56 points. Named an alternate captain ahead of the 2025-26 season, she has also appeared in 12 postseason games with the Fleet, recording seven points (3G, 4A). Internationally, the 28-year-old Northeastern University graduate is a four-time Olympian (2014, 2018, 2022, 2026) and a two-time Olympic bronze medalist. She scored the game-winning goal for Switzerland at both the 2014 and 2026 Olympics and ranks seventh in all-time Olympic scoring with 29 points (16G, 13A) in 26 games.

The addition of Müller by PWHL Hamilton follows Friday’s Phase 2 signings of forward Brianne Jenner and goaltender Kayle Osborne, both to three-year contracts.

Phase 2 of the Expansion Player Distribution Process, which began Friday at 12 p.m. ET and continues until Monday, June 8 at 1 p.m. ET, allows each expansion team to build the foundation of its roster by acquiring five players through signings and, if necessary, a player selection process. Only players identified on an expansion team’s initial 20-player Exclusive Negotiation Target List are eligible to be signed during Phase 2. Existing teams can lose a maximum of three players who are under contract for the 2026-27 season during this phase. Read the full rules here
