TORONTO – The Toronto Sceptres today announced that forward Kiara Zanon has been re-signed to a two-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement through the 2027-28 season. Zanon debuted with the Sceptres as a rookie during the 2025-26 campaign after being selected in the second round of the 2025 PWHL Draft.
The 24-year-old from Fairport, NY, scored the winning tally in her first career PWHL game on Nov. 21, 2025, in Minnesota and finished her rookie season with three points in 30 appearances. Prior to the PWHL, Zanon played five collegiate seasons between Penn State University (2020-23) and The Ohio State University (2023-25), amassing 191 points (75G, 116A) in 171 career NCAA games. She was named a top 10 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award twice (2021, 2023) and won a National Championship with the Buckeyes (2024). Internationally, Zanon won a gold medal (2020) and silver medal (2019) representing the United States at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship.
Zanon’s re-signing brings the Sceptres up to 15 players under contract for the 2026-27 season, including seven forwards.
