SAN JOSE, CA – PWHL San Jose has announced its training camp roster in preparation for the 2026-27 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season with 29 players who will hit the ice at Sharks Ice. PWHL training camps open on Wednesday, Nov. 18, following the completion of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship taking place in Denmark from Nov. 6-16.
“We’re incredibly excited to get this group together and officially get to work. Training camp gives our staff the opportunity to see the compete level, skill and personality of our players firsthand, while beginning to build the identity of this team,” said Troy Ryan, PWHL San Jose General Manager and Head Coach. “There’s a lot of energy around bringing a brand-new group together, establishing our standards and creating a style of play we can be proud of. This is where it all starts, and we’re looking forward to everyone contributing to help shape what this team can become.”
The camp roster consists of 17 forwards, nine defenders, and three goaltenders, and includes 18 players who are already signed for the upcoming season and 15 who were members of PWHL teams during the 2025-26 season.
As part of training camp, PWHL San Jose will play two preseason scrimmages on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. PT and Monday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. PT, both against the Seattle Torrent at Tech CU Arena.
PWHL San Jose will open the 2026-27 regular season at home against the Minnesota Frost on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. PT at SAP Center.
