Programming is intentionally accessible and celebratory, inviting fans of all backgrounds to learn, participate, and show up authentically.

Pre-Game Programming

National Anthem Performance
The National Anthem will be performed by Mia Sanchez, whose voice and artistry help set the tone for the evening’s celebration. Her performance serves as a meaningful cultural moment, grounding the night in representation and honoring the contributions of Hispanic artists within sport and music.

Ceremonial Puck Drop: Puerto Rico 3x3 National Team
The ceremonial puck drop will be performed by three members of the Puerto Rico National Women’s Team — Jocelyn Modl, Estela Vazquez, and Melanie Summers — celebrating their achievement as IIHF 3x3 Gold Medalists. This moment honors their historic accomplishment while highlighting the presence, excellence, and continued growth of Hispanic athletes within the global hockey community. Their participation serves as a powerful symbol of representation, perseverance, and pride, aligning with the night’s broader themes of culture, identity, and belonging.

Mariachi Band Performance
As part of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Unity Game, fans will be welcomed by a pre-game performance from Mariachi Orión. Mariachi music holds deep cultural significance across many Mexican and Latin American communities, traditionally symbolizing celebration, storytelling, and communal pride. The performance will set an energetic and celebratory tone ahead of puck drop.

Fan Engagement & Cultural Activations

Cultural Symbol Stations
Fans will have the opportunity to engage with interactive cultural elements displayed throughout the concourse, each accompanied by educational context connecting the item to Hispanic heritage and tradition. These include:

  • Marigolds – Often associated with celebration, remembrance, and cultural festivals across Latin America, marigolds symbolize life, memory, and connection between generations.
  • Castanets – A traditional percussion instrument commonly linked to Spanish dance and music, representing rhythm, movement, and artistic expression.
  • Hand Fans – A functional and symbolic accessory used across many Hispanic cultures, particularly in dance and performance, reflecting elegance, storytelling, and tradition.

Each activation will include brief informational signage explaining its cultural significance, allowing fans to engage thoughtfully and learn while participating.

“Rep Your Roots” Fan Initiative
As part of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Unity Game, fans are encouraged to take part in the “Rep Your Roots” initiative by wearing apparel that represents their culture and identity. This includes fútbol jerseys, national team kits, heritage apparel, or other meaningful cultural clothing. This initiative is designed to celebrate the diversity within the Sirens fanbase while creating powerful, authentic moments for in-arena recognition and digital storytelling. Fans’ expressions of pride will be spotlighted through game presentation elements and content capture throughout the night.

Vamos Sirens Signs
Custom “Vamos Sirens” signage will be featured throughout the arena, celebrating Spanish language, energy, and collective support for the team. These visuals reinforce the night’s cultural focus while creating a unifying rallying call for fans in attendance.

Raíces y Rutas (Roots & Routes) Interactive Map
As part of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Unity Game, fans will be invited to take part in Raíces y Rutas, an interactive activation centered on identity, heritage, and aspiration.
A large map of Latin America and Spain will be displayed on the concourse, allowing fans to engage in two meaningful ways:

  • Teal stickers to mark where their roots, heritage, or family origins are connected
  • Orange stickers to mark places they dream of visiting or learning more about

This activation creates a shared visual representation of the diverse backgrounds, stories, and journeys that make up the Sirens community. By inviting fans to reflect on both where they come from and where they hope to go, Raíces y Rutas celebrates the deep cultural ties across the Hispanic diaspora while reinforcing themes of belonging, movement, and connection.

The completed map will serve as a powerful storytelling moment throughout the night and may be featured in in-arena visuals and digital content to highlight the collective footprint of the community in attendance.
