LAS VEGAS, NV – PWHL Las Vegas today announced that forward Lacey Eden has been signed to a two-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement through the 2027-28 season. Selected fifth overall, Eden was one of eight players and six forwards chosen by PWHL Las Vegas in the 2026 PWHL Draft on June 17.
"We are incredibly excited to officially welcome Lacey to Las Vegas. She's a player we felt strongly about from the beginning, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to draft her," said Dominique DiDia, PWHL Las Vegas General Manager. "Her skill, hockey sense, and competitiveness immediately stood out to us, but just as importantly, she is a winner who brings the versatility, integrity, and the mindset we want to define our team."
A native of Annapolis, MD, Eden made history at the University of Wisconsin as the only player to win four National Championships. She appeared in 178 career games for the Badgers, recording 105 goals and 140 assists for 245 points, and led the nation in scoring her graduate season with 77 points (29G, 48A) in 41 games. Internationally, Eden has represented the United States in five straight IIHF Women’s World Championships, earning two gold and three silver medals. The 24-year-old is renowned for her versatility across all three zones and skating ability that allows her to take control of the ice.
"I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity that lies ahead in Vegas," said Eden. "I can't wait to be a part of the local hockey community, and I am excited to help build a winning culture in this new organization."
Eden joins a PWHL Las Vegas lineup that now has 15 players under contract for the upcoming season, including fellow forward and first-round pick Tessa Janecke (third overall), who signed a two-year contract in July.
