HAMILTON, ON – PWHL Hamilton has officially unveiled its inaugural season home and away jerseys today, ahead of their on-ice debut on Dec. 5 (7 p.m. ET) as the team travels to Montréal to take on the Victorie at Place Bell. Fans can be among the first to see the home jerseys on the ice at PWHL Hamilton’s inaugural Home Opener at TD Coliseum on Dec. 13 vs. the Ottawa Charge (2 p.m. ET); tickets are available online here.

The home and away sweaters proudly feature ‘HAMILTON’ stitched diagonally across the front, in line with a tradition established across the first eight PWHL teams’ debut seasons. PWHL Hamilton will unveil its full team identity – including team names and logos – prior to puck drop, which will be incorporated into on-ice uniforms for the 2027-28 season.

PWHL Hamilton’s gold, deep red, burnt orange, and cream colour palette embodies the city’s steel industry while paying homage to the area’s deep sports history. The gold primary home jerseys with burnt orange and deep red accents evoke the colors of forging and rusted steel, while calling back to the uniforms worn by the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the former Hamilton Bulldogs (OHL) and Hamilton Tigers (NHL).

“Hamilton is a city built on strength, grit, and pride, and we wanted our jerseys to reflect that,” said PWHL Hamilton forward and Hamilton native Kayla Vespa. “The gold, burnt orange, and deep red connect our team to the steel that helped shape this city and the iconic sports colours that Hamilton has worn with pride for generations. These jerseys honour our past while representing a new era of women’s hockey in Hamilton.”

“With Opening Weekend getting closer, unveiling these jerseys is another exciting milestone for PWHL Hamilton and the fans who have embraced the team from day one,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “PWHL Hamilton is building its own connection with their community, and these jerseys give fans another way to show their pride while carrying forward a PWHL tradition of putting the city name front and centre in a team’s inaugural season.”

Produced by Bauer, the Official Jersey Partner of the PWHL, the jerseys are crafted from breathable, durable fabrics and engineered to withstand intense physical play while offering a tailored fit for maximum mobility, comfort, and on-ice performance.

“The addition of four new teams is an incredible milestone and a powerful sign of how quickly the PWHL and women’s hockey are growing. Jerseys have always been special in sport. They represent team identity and create an emotional connection between players and fans. In the PWHL, that connection goes even deeper, representing a community that shares a belief in equity and in the future of the women’s game,” said Mary-Kay Messier, Chief Marketing Officer, Bauer Hockey. “As the exclusive jersey partner, we’re proud to bring the PWHL’s designs to life with the same care, performance focus, and attention to detail that we bring to our most innovative equipment. We can’t wait to see these new teams, and their fans, make them their own.”
