PWHL DETROIT 2026 PWHL DRAFT PRESENTED BY UPPER DECK RECAP

DETROIT, MI (June 17, 2026) – PWHL Detroit selected six players in the 2026 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck, adding one goaltender, one defender and four forwards to the organization’s roster. These selections add depth to the team’s lineup ahead of the 2026-27 season, joining ten players already under contract.

"After our first signings, it was important for us to build on our team [identity],” said PWHL Detroit General Manager Manon Rhéaume. “We’re building a team that plays fast and is relentless — and I think the players we selected represent that.”

Detroit 2026 PWHL Draft Picks:

Round 2 — 15th Pick Overall – Andrea Brändli, G, Frölunda HC (SDHL), Zürich, SUI 

Round 2 (via Boston) — 22nd Pick Overall – Casey Borgiel, D, Colgate University (NCAA), Port Huron, MI 

Round 3 (via Boston) — 34th Pick Overall – MK O'Brien, F, Minnesota-Duluth (NCAA), Wilbraham, MA 

Round 4 — 39th Pick Overall, Kyla Josifovic, F, University of Connecticut (NCAA), Burlington, ON 

Round 5 — 51st Pick Overall – Sena Catterall, F, Clarkson University (NCAA), Montréal, QC 

Round 6 — 63rd Pick Overall – Georgia Schiff, F, Cornell University (NCAA), Montpelier, VT

PWHL Detroit is one of 12 teams in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), which was founded in 2023. The PWHL began its inaugural season in January 2024 and features the best women’s hockey players in the world.
