BOSTON, MA (August 24, 2026) – Boston Fleet, opens in a new tab defender Amanda Boulier attended the 12th Anniversary of KIDS DAY with Boston Triathlon on Saturday, August 22, in South Boston, handing out medals to participants at the finish line.
“It was so great to see so many young kids getting active and embracing a healthy lifestyle,” Boulier said. “I loved being able to represent the Boston Fleet in the community and hopefully be a positive role model for these young athletes. It was such a fun and rewarding experience to celebrate their accomplishments and be part of their race day!”
Each year, KIDS DAY at The Boston Tri gives children across the Boston area the opportunity to experience the excitement of a triathlon in a fun, welcoming, and active environment. As Boston’s only triathlon, the event brings together kids ages 15 and under for free Splash & Dash races that combine swimming and running, as well as a Fun Run for younger children.
“It was amazing to have Amanda out here with us handing out medals to the kids,” President of Boston Triathlon Michael O’Neil said. “The goal of this event is really to get kids off their phones, get offline, get outside and be active with other people to enjoy this shared experience. In addition to participating in the triathlon activities, we want kids to have the opportunity to kick soccer balls with the [New England] Revolution, throw a rugby ball with the [New England] Free Jacks, learn about hockey with a Fleet player and essentially look around to see there’s a different world out there based around sports. We want to encourage them to be great students and lifelong athletes through this safe, inclusive, free family day experience.”
More than simply a race, KIDS DAY encourages children and families to get active, build confidence, celebrate healthy lifestyles, and create lasting memories together, making it an inclusive community event that helps introduce the next generation to the joy of athletics and an active lifestyle.
