PWHL VANCOUVER 2025 PWHL DRAFT PRESENTED BY UPPER DECK RECAP

Share:

OTTAWA, ON (June 24, 2025) – PWHL Vancouver selected five players in the 2025 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck, adding three forwards and two defenders to the organization’s talent pool. These selections add depth to the team’s lineup ahead of the 2025-26 season, joining 18 players already under contract.

During the Draft, PWHL Vancouver acquired goaltender Kristen Campbell and the 3rd round (19th overall) pick from the Toronto Sceptres in exchange for Vancouver’s 2nd and 3rd round picks (16th and 23rd overall respectively).

"It was a really exciting night; the professionalism was incredible. A lot of moving parts, but we actually felt really lucky with who ended up falling into the slots that we were predicting," said General Manager Cara Gardner Morey. “The philosophy always was: ‘start with the locker room’. As far as culture goes–– and leadership–– I think it was really important to bring those five players in that we know would set the standard and really set the tone for the year. Then, hockey-wise, it really was building from the net out. During the [Expansion] Draft, it was finding a lot of those gritty undervalued players that were probably outperforming. Free agency we got to sign some of the bigger names and then used this draft to fill in the last couple pieces of the puzzle.”
