SEATTLE (July 15, 2025) – PWHL Seattle today announced that its first-ever entry draft pick, forward Jenna Buglioni, has signed a two-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement through the 2026-27 season. Buglioni was selected in the first round, eighth overall, in the 2025 PWHL Draft from Ohio State University.

“Jenna is a cerebral player who excels in every zone and simplifies the game,” said PWHL Seattle General Manager Meghan Turner. “She's solid on the faceoff dot, demonstrates patient puck support, and shows up in big moments. Her work ethic, positivity, and competitive attitude will have a big impact on our bench and in the locker room.”

The 23-year-old forward from Port Moody, B.C., had a decorated collegiate career at Ohio State, where she helped lead the Buckeyes to two NCAA National Championships over five seasons and finished her NCAA tenure with 166 points in 170 games. In her final year (2024–25), Buglioni captained the Buckeyes and delivered a career-best season with 20 goals and 51 points in 44 games. She notably led the country with seven game-winning goals, setting a Buckeyes single season record and establishing a new all-time record (16). Internationally, Buglioni earned a silver medal with Canada at the 2020 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, where she was named a Tournament All-Star.

“I am so honored and grateful to sign with PWHL Seattle,” said Buglioni. “Being able to begin my professional career around such elite athletes is a dream come true. Also, seeing how engaged Seattle fans are, I am excited to help bring PWHL hockey to the best fans in the West.”

Buglioni is the first member of PWHL Seattle’s inaugural draft to sign, and was the first of six players selected on June 24 along with goaltender Hannah Murphy, forwards Lily Delianedis, Jada Habisch, Olivia Wallin, and defender Lyndie Lobdell.
