Jailbreak Goal [jeyl-breyk gohl]
Noun: Exclusive to the PWHL, a player serving a minor penalty can “break out” of the penalty box if their team scores a short-handed goal.

Check out the best and most electric jailbreak goals from the 2024-25 season!

Sarah Nurse | Sceptres vs. Fleet | Nov. 30, 2024

Nursey started the season in style, racing up the ice for her first -and her team's first - goal of the season to release Izzy Daniel from the penalty box.

Kristin O'Neill | Victoire vs. Fleet | Dec. 30, 2024

After an impressive puck clear from Claire Dalton, O'Neill fired up the jets and blasted the puck through the five-hole to release Catherine Dubois from her penalty box sentence.

Alina Müller | Fleet vs. Sirens | Jan. 31, 2025

Müller, the only player in the league with multiple jailbreak goals last season, muscled her way to the net to free Hanna Brandt (featured later in this list) and get the Fleet on the board.

Alexa Vasko | Charge vs. Frost | March 11, 2025

Scoring one of a league-leading four Jailbreaks for Ottawa, Vasko took a highlight-reel dish from Ronja Savolainen to release Shiann Darkangelo and break a 2-2 tie in the third period.

Rebecca Leslie | Charge vs. Sirens | March 25, 2025

Early in a March matchup with New York, Leslie picked off a pass at the blue line and fired the puck past Kayle Osborne, freeing Aneta Tejralová and getting the Charge on the board.

Hannah Brandt | Fleet at Victoire | April 28, 2025

Pulling one of the best moves you'll see all year, Brandt tallied her Jailbreak goal after a nasty toe drag through traffic and a heroic rebound effort.
