Filly's filthy saucer
New York Sirens vs. Minnesota Frost | Dec. 1, 2024 | St. Paul, MN

2024 PWHL Draft No. 1 pick Sarah Fillier wasted no time creating her PWHL highlight reel. In the first game of her professional career, scoring her first PWHL point, the Sirens forward floated a crisp saucer pass across the slot to a gliding Alex Carpenter. Carpenter finished the goal and the Sirens went on to an overtime win over the defending champion Minnesota Frost.

The highlight dish was the first of many for Fillier, whose 16 assists on the season shared the league lead. Fillier went on to set the PWHL rookie points record and win the 2025 Rookie of the Year Award.

Nurse steps up to the plate
Toronto Sceptres vs. Ottawa Charge | Jan. 14, 2025 | Ottawa, ON

Toronto's Sarah Nurse gives her best Toronto Blue Jays impression, batting her stick on a mid-air puck perfectly over to Hannah Miller in front of the goal. The fierce display of hand-eye coordination put the Sceptres on the board to tie the game 1-1, eventually leading to a 4-2 win on the road.

Gardiner spins and serves
Montréal Victoire vs. New York Sirens | Feb. 15, 2025 | Laval, QC

Rookie Jenn Gardiner made a quick impact on the PWHL, including a sensational spinning set-up to Marie-Philip Poulin. Poulin buried the goal, and the Victoire capped off a 6-2 win over New York in front of a packed house at Place Bell.

Lexie and Dempsey make it happen
Boston Fleet vs. Montréal Victoire | March 8, 2025 | Lowell, MA

Jillian Dempsey makes her own spinning dish, whipping the puck around her back to Lexie Adzija on the rush. Adzija puts the puck off the near goalpost, giving Amanda Pelkey perfect access to the tap-in goal. The highlight sequence evened the score at 2-2, eventually holding to force overtime against the Victoire.

Savolainen's diving Jailbreak dish
Ottawa Charge vs. Minnesota Frost | March 11, 2025 | Ottawa, ON

On a full-speed rush down a skater, Ronja Savolainen laid out and dove on the ice to win the race to the puck. Sweeping her stick left, she finds a streaking Alexa Vasko for the Jailbreak goal up front. Vasko - lighting the lamp for the second time that night - broke a 2-2 tie with fewer than five minutes left in regulation and the Charge held on to win.

Pannek threads the needle
Minnesota Frost vs. Toronto Sceptres | May 9, 2025 | Toronto, ON

Early in the second period of Game 2 of their PWHL Playoffs series, Minnesota's Kelly Pannek makes a sensational pass through the Sceptres' defenders. Lee Stecklein deflects it off her stick and, for the first of two times that period, buries the goal.

Pannek and Stecklein's work seemed to be a significant momentum driver for Minnesota. The Frost won the game 5-3 to even the series, eventually surging all the way to their second consecutive Walter Cup Championship.
