SAN JOSE, CA – PWHL San Jose today announced its inaugural home opener for the 2026-27 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) regular season will be played on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. PT against the Minnesota Frost, marking a historic debut at SAP Center. The game will air live on ION, Scripps’ national sports and entertainment network, representing the first ION Game of the Week in the league’s first season-long national television package in the U.S, which was announced earlier this month.
The game is one of three matchups to launch the league’s opening weekend where all 12 teams are in action Dec. 5-6. The complete regular-season schedule will be announced on Friday, Oct. 2.
Tickets are on sale at 8 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster for the PWHL San Jose home opener and can be purchased online here.
