The New York Sirens Pride Unity Game is designed to celebrate Pride as a moment of visibility, belonging, and community, while recognizing the contributions of LGBTQ+ athletes, leaders, and organizations across the New York and New Jersey area. Developed in collaboration with local community partners, the game centers authenticity, inclusion, and representation, creating space for celebration, connection, and recognition throughout the PWHL game experience. Programming throughout the night highlights the role of LGBTQ+ communities across all levels of sport and society—from grassroots and recreational leagues to advocacy organizations and support networks—reinforcing the importance of visibility, access, and belonging both on and off the ice.

New York’s Pride Unity Game will feature programming integrated throughout the full game experience, including: 

  • Live musical performances and ceremonial moments highlighting LGBTQ+ voices 
  • Community organization presence and engagement on the concourse 
  • In-game recognition and storytelling celebrating LGBTQ+ impact in sport and society 

Pre-Game Performance

The New Jersey Gay Men’s Chorus will deliver a special pre-game performance, using music to celebrate Pride and uplift LGBTQ+ voices and stories. Their performance will help set the tone for an inclusive and celebratory game experience.

Anthem Performance

Hailey Sky, a New York-based vocalist and member of the LGBTQ+ community, will perform the national anthem. Her performance will open the game with a powerful moment that reflects the spirit of Pride and sets the tone for a night centered on visibility, belonging, and celebration.

The following organizations will be present on the concourse, providing opportunities for fans to engage, learn, and connect:

  • The Trevor Project

    The Trevor Project is a leading nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ young people. Through 24/7 crisis services, including phone, text, and chat support, as well as advocacy, research, and education, the organization works to create safer, more supportive environments for LGBTQ+ youth. Their work centers reducing isolation, increasing access to affirming resources, and ensuring that every young person has access to life-saving support when they need it most.

  • New Jersey Gay Men’s Chorus

    The New Jersey Gay Men’s Chorus is a nonprofit performing arts organization that uses music as a platform to promote inclusion, visibility, and acceptance of LGBTQ+ communities. Through dynamic performances and community engagement, the chorus creates spaces that celebrate identity, foster understanding, and bring people together through the arts.

  • Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice

    The Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice is a community-based organization dedicated to advancing civil rights, social justice, and LGBTQ+ equality. Inspired by the legacy of Bayard Rustin, the center provides advocacy, educational programming, and safe spaces for marginalized communities, with a strong emphasis on intersectionality, youth leadership, and civic engagement.

    NYC Pride is one of the largest and most historic LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, rooted in the legacy of the Stonewall Uprising.
