The Minnesota Frost Pride Unity Game is designed to celebrate Pride as a moment of visibility, belonging, and community, while recognizing the contributions of LGBTQ+ athletes, leaders, and organizations across Minnesota. Developed in collaboration with local community organizations, the game centers authenticity, inclusion, and representation, creating space for celebration, connection, and recognition throughout the PWHL game experience. Programming throughout the night highlights the role of LGBTQ+ communities across all levels of sport; from grassroots and recreational leagues to advocacy organizations and family support systems, reinforcing the importance of visibility, access, and belonging both on and off the ice.

Minnesota’s Pride Unity Game will feature programming integrated throughout the full game experience, including: 

  • Ceremonial moments recognizing LGBTQ+ leaders and community advocates 
  • Anthem performance highlighting inclusive representation 
  • Community organization participation and engagement throughout the arena 
  • Concourse activations providing opportunities for education, connection, and access to local resources 
  • In-game acknowledgements spotlighting LGBTQ+ impact across hockey, sport, and community 
  • Post-game engagement opportunities connecting fans with participating organizations

Pre-Game & On-Ice Moments

Makeup & Personal Care Item Drive
In partnership with Twin Cities Pride, the Minnesota Frost will host a makeup and personal care item drive ahead of the Pride Unity Game in support of the Rainbow Wardrobe initiative. The Rainbow Wardrobe provides affirming clothing, accessories, and personal care items to LGBTQ+ individuals, supporting self-expression, confidence, and access to essential resources. Fans attending the game are encouraged to donate new, unused makeup and personal care items.  

Anthem Performance
The national anthem will be performed by Lisa DiGuiseppi (they/them), bringing a meaningful and inclusive presence to the opening moments of the Pride Unity Game.

Concourse Activation

Community Organization Tabling
The following organizations will host tables on the concourse, providing fans with opportunities to learn more about their work, access resources, and engage directly with leaders and representatives from Minnesota’s LGBTQ+ community: 

  • Twin Cities Queer Hockey Association
  • Gender Justice
  • Transforming Families
  • Twin Cities Pride / Hockey’s Beauty Club

These activations create opportunities for fans to connect directly with organizations, learn about available resources, and engage with the work being done to support LGBTQ+ communities across Minnesota.  

In-Game & Intermission Moments

Fanboni Experience
Pride at Work will participate in the in-game Fanboni experience, highlighting their role in supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion and advocacy within workplaces and communities.

In-Game Recognition & Storytelling

Pride Unity Game messaging and storytelling will be integrated throughout the game experience via PA reads, video board content, and in-arena acknowledgements. 

These moments will highlight participating organizations, recognize community leadership, and celebrate the ongoing contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals across hockey, sport, and community spaces, reinforcing the importance of visibility and belonging within the game. 

All Pride Unity Game programming is developed in collaboration with local community organizations to ensure authenticity, respect, and meaningful representation. 

Post-Game Autographs

Queerspace Collective will participate in post-game autographs, creating an opportunity for fans to engage directly with community leaders following the game. 

The following organizations will be in attendance as part of the Minnesota Frost Pride Unity Game, representing a wide range of LGBTQ+ advocacy, sport, and community leadership across Minnesota:

  • The Trevor Project

    The Trevor Project is a leading nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ young people. Through 24/7 crisis services, including phone, text, and chat support, as well as advocacy, research, and education, the organization works to create safer, more supportive environments for LGBTQ+ youth. Their work centers reducing isolation, increasing access to affirming resources, and ensuring that every young person has access to life-saving support when they need it most.

  • Twin Cities Queer Hockey Association

    The Twin Cities Queer Hockey Association is an inclusive hockey community dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ players and allies of all skill levels. Through organized leagues, skill development opportunities, and community events, the association promotes access, visibility, and belonging within the sport. By fostering an environment rooted in respect and inclusion, the organization continues to expand opportunities for queer athletes to participate in hockey.

  • Team Trans Hockey

    Team Trans is an international organization that provides transgender and non-binary athletes with opportunities to participate in hockey in affirming and inclusive environments. Through tournaments, exhibitions, and community-building initiatives, Team Trans works to increase visibility, representation, and access for trans athletes. The organization plays an important role in advocating for equity within sport while creating space for athletes to compete authentically.

  • Twin Cities Pride

    Twin Cities Pride is a community-based organization that produces one of the largest Pride festivals in the country while supporting year-round programming, advocacy, and community initiatives. Through events, partnerships, and outreach, the organization uplifts LGBTQ+ voices and fosters inclusive spaces across Minnesota. Their work extends beyond celebration, focusing on building community, increasing visibility, and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals through a variety of initiatives, including the Rainbow Wardrobe.

  • Reclaim

    Reclaim is a mental health organization dedicated to supporting queer and trans youth through accessible, affirming care. The organization works to remove barriers to mental health services by offering therapy, resources, and community support tailored specifically to LGBTQ+ young people and their families. Through its work, Reclaim helps create environments where youth feel seen, supported, and empowered.
