DETROIT – PWHL Detroit has officially unveiled their home and away jerseys today, as they prepare to hit the ice for their inaugural Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) campaign beginning Dec. 6 in Las Vegas (8 p.m. ET). Fans can be among the first to see the home jerseys on the ice at PWHL Detroit’s inaugural Home Opener at Little Caesars Arena on Dec. 12 vs. New York (12 p.m. ET); tickets for the Home Opener are available now here.

Keeping with a tradition established across the first eight PWHL teams’ debut seasons, each sweater features ‘DETROIT’ stitched diagonally across the front. Before the 2026-27 campaign begins, PWHL Detroit’s team identity – including team names and logos – will be revealed and fans can expect them to be incorporated into on-ice uniforms for the 2027-28 season.

“This jersey feels like Detroit—bold, tough, and built with purpose,” said PWHL Detroit forward Hilary Knight. “There’s a standard that comes with representing this city, and I love that. We have the opportunity to build something from the ground up, create an identity people can rally behind, and make this jersey mean something. I’m ready to wear it and get to work this season.”

PWHL Detroit’s black home jersey features silver metallic accents, reflecting the city’s automotive history, innovative and industrial spirit, and the bold and resilient identity of Metro Detroiters. The color trio of white, silver, and red stripes are a callback to Detroit's 313 area code, with red as a nod to Hockeytown’s hockey stewardship in the United States for more than 100 years. The team’s inaugural partner, Ally Financial, is the exclusive jersey patch partner of PWHL Detroit.

“With Opening Weekend getting closer, unveiling these jerseys is another exciting milestone for PWHL Detroit and the fans who have embraced the team from day one,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “Detroit is building its own connection with the community, and these jerseys give fans another way to show their pride while carrying forward a PWHL tradition of putting the city name front and center in a team’s inaugural season.”

Produced by Bauer, the Official Jersey Partner of the PWHL, the jerseys are crafted from breathable, durable fabrics and engineered to withstand intense physical play while offering a tailored fit for maximum mobility, comfort, and on-ice performance.

“The addition of four new teams is an incredible milestone and a powerful sign of how quickly the PWHL and women’s hockey are growing. Jerseys have always been special in sport. They represent team identity and create an emotional connection between players and fans. In the PWHL, that connection goes even deeper, representing a community that shares a belief in equity and in the future of the women’s game,” said Mary-Kay Messier, Chief Marketing Officer, Bauer Hockey. “As the exclusive jersey partner, we’re proud to bring the PWHL’s designs to life with the same care, performance focus, and attention to detail that we bring to our most innovative equipment. We can’t wait to see these new teams, and their fans, make them their own.”
