MONTRÉAL – The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) and Paris Jewellers Canada today unveiled the 2026 Walter Cup Championship ring, plus a second ring for everyday wear, to Montréal Victoire players and staff in a private ceremony in Montréal, Quebec.

"Today was such a special moment for our team. Coming together again gave us the chance to celebrate the dedication, sacrifice, and heart that every person poured into the 2025-26 season and our journey to raising the Walter Cup,” said Victoire alternate captain Laura Stacey. “These rings will forever remind us of this incredible group, the memories we shared, and what we accomplished together. Celebrating at the Verdun Auditorium made it even more meaningful – it's where we put in the work, grew together, and built the foundation for this championship right from the very beginning.”

The custom gold-plated silver rings were designed with Canadian fine jewelry brand and PWHL partner, Paris Jewellers, in collaboration with Montréal Victoire leaders and Hockey Hall of Fame Honoured Members, General Manager, Danièle Sauvageau, and Business Director, Kim St-Pierre. Design features include:

  • The "WALTER CUP CHAMPIONS" inscription was offered in both English and French, with recipients selecting the language of their choice.
  • Each ring embodies 2.03 carats in lab created diamonds: 28 diamonds for 28 total wins, 41 diamonds surround the logo, in a tribute to team defense with the fewest goals allowed in the league during the regular season, and 29 diamonds representing each player on the team.
  • Six blue sapphire and aquamarine gemstones circling the ruby-set Victoire crest on the top of the ring, honouring the team’s six playoff wins. The gemstones were inspired by Victoire colours and the team’s values: blue sapphire for wisdom, loyalty, and integrity for the sport and community; aquamarine for calm and clarity under pressure; and ruby for love and passion for each other and the game, and courage to rise when it mattered most.
  • The team saying, “today is today,” is engraved on the side of the ring, reflecting the Victoire’s commitment to daily excellence.
  • Inside the ring includes the date of the championship game and the final 4-0 score engraved inside the ears of a dog, symbolizing another team motto, “the strength comes from the pack, and the pack above all.” “FIRST” is also engraved inside the ring, calling back many of the team’s top records.

While designing the championship ring for the first Canadian team to win the Walter Cup, Paris Jewellers was inspired to create something else unique: a second ring designed for everyday wear. Featuring a smaller design with the Victoire logo and the same meaningful gemstones as the primary ring, it gives players a way to celebrate and carry their championship achievement with them wherever they go.

“It is an incredible honour to design the PWHL Championship rings for the third consecutive year, and even more special to celebrate the first Canadian team to win the Walter Cup,” says Chau Lui, Co-owner of Paris Jewellers and Designer of the Rings. “As a proud Canadian and mom of two girls who play hockey, this is deeply personal to me. Every detail was designed with intention because every part of the Montréal Victoire's journey deserves to be remembered. From the diamonds and gemstones representing their victories and teammates, to the meaningful engravings that reflect shared values, we wouldn’t settle for anything less than extraordinary. Creating a second, everyday championship ring for the first time was especially meaningful to us. We wanted to create something the players could wear every day – a reminder of their incredible journey, achievement, and the lasting legacy these women have built together.”

“These rings will be treasured by our players and staff as a lasting reminder of what we accomplished together as Walter Cup champions and the historic moments that will forever be part of our team's legacy,” said Sauvageau. “Our players’ commitment to coming together as one, battling through adversity, and finding strength in each other made this championship possible. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of our organization since day one and contributed to this remarkable journey.”

"Working with Paris Jewellers to bring these championship rings to life was incredibly special,” said St-Pierre. “Every detail reflects the team's journey and commitment, trust, and togetherness that defined their championship season.”

Fans can join the celebration and welcome their reigning Walter Cup champions back for their title defending season during Victoire’s Home Opener and Banner Unveiling Ceremony at Place Bell on Dec. 5 (7 p.m. ET). Single game tickets are available for purchase now, opens in a new tab.
