The Victoire’s Laura Stacey became the first player in PWHL history to record a playoff hat trick, scoring three goals in Game 1 of Montréal’s series with Minnesota.

After falling behind by two goals in the first period, Stacey was immense in leading the Victoire’s comeback, helping even the score at 4–4 by the end of regulation. Her second and third goals both came on the power play in the third period.

Stacey led all skaters with six shots while logging 21 minutes of ice time. Despite her Herculean effort, Montréal ultimately fell in overtime.

The Victoire will look for a response in Game 2 on Tuesday night at Place Bell. Stacey will aim to carry her hot stick forward as Montréal looks to even the series at one game apiece.
