Kirsten Simms 2026 Draft Profile

Share:

Kristen Simms capped off a decorated collegiate career with another standout campaign in 2025-26, winning her third NCAA title to continue a trajectory that established her as one of the NCAA’s most dangerous playmakers and scorers.

A forward with a nose for the net, Simms' offensive intelligence is the foundation of her game. She can score but is also extremely happy to set up her teammates, of whom she's had many great ones at Wisconsin and with Team USA.

For more background on Simms, who comes from Plymouth, MI and committed to Wisconsin in the eighth grade, check out her 2026 Draft Prospects Video:

Simms has represented the United States at multiple levels and continued to strengthen her reputation as a player capable of succeeding against elite competition. She was one of four Badgers on the Gold Medal-winning USA Team at the 2026 WInter Olympic Games, and made her mark with a goal in the Americans' 5-0 opening round win over Canada. Her experience in championship environments at Wisconsin and with USA Hockey should be great preparation for her transition to the PWHL.

Simms discussed her many accomplishments and her knack for making huge plays when her team needs them on one of the season's first episodes of Jocks Next Gen. Check it out:

Simms, who is still just 21 years old, projects as an instant impact player in the PWHL. Her combination of skill, intelligence, creativity and big-game experience should make her one of the first names called during the 2026 PWHL Draft.
