The United States remains perfect in preliminary-round play as they shut out Switzerland 5–0. The Americans have now scored five goals in every group-stage game at this Winter Olympics, showcasing their firepower on the offensive end.

The Seattle Torrent contingent continues its strong tournament, with Alex Carpenter, Hannah Bilka, and captain Hilary Knight combining for five points in today’s game and 11 points through three contests. Knight recorded two assists, bringing her career Olympic point total to 31, just one shy of tying the all-time record of 32 set by Jenny Potter.

NCAA standouts Joy Dunne and Caroline Harvey also continued their impactful play, each recording a goal and an assist. Gwyneth Phillips got the start in net, stopping every shot she faced, while Ava McNaughton came on for the final few minutes to get some Olympic action and preserve the shutout.

The U.S. remains atop the Group A standings, having conceded just one goal through preliminary play, while Switzerland sits in fourth place. The Americans return to the ice tomorrow for their highly anticipated matchup with Canada at 2:10 p.m. ET. Switzerland will also wrap up preliminary play shortly after, facing Finland at 3:10 p.m. ET.
