The first netminder off the board, Andrea Brändli became the first draft pick in PWHL Detroit's history after the team selected the Swiss international with the 15th overall pick.

The goaltender is known for her infectious and bubbly personality which she is sure to bring to the PWHL. Take a look at the moment she was selected below:

The 29-year-old has spent the last three seasons playing in the SDHL, most recently for Frölunda HC, where she posted an elite .945 save percentage. Before her time in the Swedish league, Brändli played collegiate hockey, spending four years with Ohio State University before transferring to Boston University for a final season.

Brändli has been a staple of the Swiss international team, where just this past year she won a bronze medal at Milano Cortina and was named the tournament's best goaltender.
