NEW YORK, New York (June 21, 2024) – PWHL New York announced today that the team has re-signed goaltender Abbey Levy to a one-year contract extension for the 2024-25 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season.
“Knowing that Abbey is back and part of our group of goalkeepers not only makes our team better but also improves every teammate who is part of it,” said PWHL New York General Manager Pascal Daoust. “At her age, her size, and her skills, she is undoubtedly a good athlete with whom we can continue to develop her potential, performance, and achieve our greatest goals.”
A native of Congers, NY, Levy played eight games for PWHL New York throughout the 2024 season.
The 24-year-old recorded the first-ever PWHL New York victory on home ice in a 3-2 shootout win over Montreal on February 21 at UBS Arena and finished the season with a .906 save percentage.
Levy was selected 64th by New York in the inaugural PWHL Draft after spending the 2022-23 season with Boston College as an Alternate Captain. In her final season with Boston College, she was named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star and was a semi-finalist for National Goalie of the Year.

Levy is the second goaltender to officially re-sign with New York this offseason following Corinne Schroeder on a two-year deal. Together, they join a team with eleven additional returnees who signed multi-year contracts ahead of the league’s inaugural season. Thet group includes forwards Chloé Aurard, Alex Carpenter, Jade Downie-Landry, Jessie Eldridge, Élizabeth Giguère, Abby Roque and Jill Saulnier; defenders Jaime Bourbonnais, Brooke Hobson, Ella Shelton and Micah Zandee-Hart.
Per the Players Association, salary terms of contracts will not be disclosed.
