Discover® to become Inaugural Partner of the PWHL
TORONTO, ON (February 15, 2024) – The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) and Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) today announced a new partnership for the league’s inaugural season. The agreement sees the leading digital bank and payments services company become an Inaugural Partner of the PWHL, with an asset program that features the Discover logo on PWHL Minnesota helmets.

In addition to Discover’s branding on PWHL Minnesota helmets, the partnership includes in-arena signage and promotions across the league’s three U.S. teams in Minnesota, Boston, and New York. Discover will have broadcast activations, digital integration, and deliver unique social media content, including lighthearted mini-mic features that will introduce fans to PWHL players and their personalities.
The inaugural PWHL regular-season began on January 1, 2024, and includes 72 games through May 5, 2024, followed by playoffs.
